Connect programs are immersive college experiences designed for international high school graduates seeking a smooth transition into the U.S. college environment. The programs give students the chance to experience academics and life on campus at a top-ranked U.S. college, enhancing students' readiness for undergraduate and graduate education by improving their academic skills, English proficiency, and independence in a foreign place.
The UCSB Connect Program, offered by KSE Global in collaboration with UC Santa Barbara Professional and Continuing Education (PaCE), provides a streamlined pathway for global high school graduates to enroll at a top-20 U.S. public university. The program not only provides structured, comprehensive college courses and English proficiency enhancement, but also improves students' college readiness in a rigorous academic environment with a guaranteed pathway to full-time enrollment.
The Graduate Connect Program is a six-week summer program designed for undergraduate juniors and seniors, focusing on preparing students for engineering in master degrees. Students will take two three-credit graduate courses (Engineering Management and Information Systems Management) with six credits earned are totally counted as part of future master's program requirements. Students who enroll in the Connect program, complete courses and meet the minimum Connect GPA requirements are guaranteed to receive conditional admission to one of two WashU McKelvey School of Engineering graduate degree programs, and will be eligible for unconditional admission after passing an interview with WashU McKelvey admissions staff.
MasterScholar programs are rigorous, highly selective summer academic programs offering students the opportunity to take college-level classes with faculty selected from top-ranked colleges. In some programs students also have the chance to experience life on campus, such as in the UCSB MasterScholar Summer Research Program. Some programs also offer the opportunity to earn college credit. In all programs, students complete a comprehensive academic research project and receive a program completion certificate.
Past programs have been hosted in collaboration with NYU, and in collaboration with faculty from Duke University; in 2025, new MasterScholar partners will include Barnard College of Columbia University, UC Santa Barbara, and faculty from Princeton University, in addition to the ongoing programs.
veriii is a rigorous, meticulously designed research skills certificate program that helps students explore their academic passions—while learning valuable research skills to aid their academic achievement in college. By the end of the program, veriii students produce a college-level academic paper, earn a Research Skills Certificate, and receive a detailed evaluation from their professor.
veriii also provides personalized, professor-led guidance based on an innovative Formative Learning Assessment (FLA), an ongoing evaluation process that helps students enhance their research skills, aptitude, and understanding throughout the program.
